This is something truly delightful. Originally a sovereign holder and made into the most fabulous brooch to hold a Wedgwood cameo. The frame is 9ct yellow gold. 
The oval white and pale blue jasperware cameo depicting a classical scene of a kneeling angel inscribing a funeral monument with a female mourner in the background. I cannot find the original of who these two angels are, but you can see the care taken to carve this piece in its details. 
I have kept the cameo exactly how it came with its ages patina, however can remove this if preferred.
